Trial dates have been set for one of two men arrested in a St. John’s sexual violence case.
Sixty-four-year-old Tony Humby faces 33 counts of alleged sex offences against a dozen young men and teenagers.
The charges include sexual assault, interference and exploitation, invitation to sexual touching, as well as child luring using a computer and forcible confinement.
Humby has pleaded not guilty and elected to be tried by judge alone in provincial court.
Several weeks have been set aside for his trial, which is scheduled to start on July 2.
The other man charged in the case, 81-year-old Bruce Escott, faces 14 charges.
The Crown and defence are still discussing how to proceed with the co-accused.
It’s alleged the two men worked together to lure and sexually assault the complainants at their neighbouring east-end homes.
