Burin Peninsula RCMP are trying to track down those responsible for the theft of an automated banking machine from a Marystown restaurant.
The ATM was taken from Chase’s Diner on Creston Boulevard sometime over the Thanksgiving weekend during the nighttime hours.
The owner tells VOCM News that the culprits broke in through the door and beat out a window. He estimates it will cost him thousands to fix the damage caused.
He expressed frustration with the pace of the police investigation, indicating he has a fairly good idea who the culprits are.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Burin Peninsula RCMP at 709-279-3001 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
