The district of Fogo Island-Cape Freels will turn from red to blue.
The PCs Jim McKenna won the byelection with 3,290 votes. Liberal candidate Dana Blackmore came in second with 2,244 votes, and Jim Gill came in third with 169 votes for the NDP.
The district will be represented by the Tories for the first time since the district was first contested back in 2015.
McKenna moves into the seat previously held by former cabinet minister Derrick Bragg who passed away in January following a battle with cancer.
