The federal government is giving a boost to tourism-related projects in Gros Morne.
On Friday, Minister of Rural Economic Development and Minister Responsible for ACOA, Gudie Hutchings announced $1,629,144 for three projects at the National Park.
The Gros Morne Co-operating Associate received $1,216,865 through ACOA’s Innovative Communities Fund to implement the Seven Corners project. It will combine views and storytelling through interactive installations that encourage exploration and nature based activities.
Cow Head Conservation and Heritage Inc. gets $87,279 to enhance and interpret the regions cultural heritage sites via the ICF fund.
And Norock Associates Ltd. received a $325,000 repayable contribution through the Business Development Program to make improvements to its dock and ticketing building at its boat tour operation in Bonne Bay.
