Last weekend’s cleanup on the Outer Ring Road resulted in the removal of approximately four-and-a-half tandem truckloads of garbage – equivalent to about 3750 garbage bags of trash.
That’s more than double the amount of garbage retrieved last spring.
The ORR is famous for garbage littering the sides of the road, primarily caused by unsecured items destined for the dump, blowing out of the backs of trucks and trailers.
The fine for having an improperly secured load ranges from $120 to $600.
