The provincial government is warning newcomers and the public about fake documents claiming to be issued by the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism.
The documents may include NL Provincial Nominee Program nomination certificates, endorsement certificates from the Atlantic Immigration program, and letters of support for work from the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism or the provincial department of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills.
The department is asking people to stay vigilant and protect themselves from immigration fraud.
It says using a third-party representative will not speed up your application, or guarantee its approval.
The office of Immigration always emails nomination and endorsement certificates using password-protected PDFs. If a third party creates an Immigration Accelerator account in your name, make sure you get the log-in details from them and ensure that you verify all documents.
