The legacy of a little girl whose fondest wish was to help families with children diagnosed with serious illness continues this weekend thanks to Nevaeh’s Angel Foundation.
Nevaeh Denine of the Goulds was diagnosed with neuroblastoma when she was just three years old. At the age of five, she started a lemonade stand with the aim of raising money for families dealing with similar challenges.
Since that time, Nevaeh’s Lemonade Stand has raised more than $500,000 to help kids with cancer and their families.

Nevaeh passed away in 2018 at the age of nine, but Stephanie O’Brien, a member of Nevaeh’s Angel Foundation, says right to the end Nevaeh wanted to make sure that her lemonade stand would continue.
“One of the last conversations we had, about two days before she passed, and all she wanted to talk about was her lemonade stand,” says O’Brien. “I said to her, yes, it will always happen.”
Nevaeh’s Lemonade Stand is scheduled for Saturday at the Paradise Double Ice Complex from noon until 5 p.m.
