It was close until the finish, but Team Gushue came up just short in the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling Masters men’s final on Sunday.
Team Gushue lost 8-5 to Team Dunstone of Saskatchewan at the Grand Slam in Ontario.
Gushue found his groove in the tournament, advancing to his first Grand Slam of Curling men’s final in over a year. It was a back and forth game between Gushue and Dunstone, but Gushue missed some prime opportunities, and ultimately finished second.
The Masters is the first of six Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling events on the season and one of four majors in the series.
