The residents of Pleasant Street, Bradbury Place and surrounding area are looking for answers from government over an incident on March 3rd during demolition of the old Grace nursing residence, that left their properties littered with debris.
Susan told VOCM Open Line with Paddy Daly that the debris contained asbestos levels higher than the acceptable 5 per cent limit.
Resident woke up that morning to find dust and debris covering their properties, cars and sheds, which residents had tested.
They sent the test results to government showing that the debris on their properties contained large amounts of asbestos.
They want acknowledgement and assurances from government, as well as the possible clean up of any contaminated soil.
