NDP Leader Jim Dinn is not impressed with a new health and well-being centre on the site of the old Grace hospital announced last week.
Dinn says the site should be used for new housing units rather than a health care centre.
He believes there are more issues that need to be addressed first before building a new health care facility.
The Opposition PCs are also questioning the announcement.
Barry Petten says there are no clear timelines or budget available for the project which Minister Osborne admitted is likely still five years out.
Petten says there haven’t been any progress reports on previously announced infrastructure announcements either. That includes the replacement for St. Clare’s Hospital, and the new schools in Paradise and Kenmount Terrace.
