Last week’s federal election will be the topic as political analyst Evan Solomon takes the podium this evening for the 2019 Galbraith Lecture in Public Policy at Memorial University.
Solomon, who hosts CTV’s Question Period, told VOCM Morning Show co-host Fred Hutton, this year’s election exposed some significant regional divisions.
He says Justin Trudeau is facing a country divided. Solomon says the tension between Alberta and Newfoundland and Labrador is a microcosm of what’s happening right across Canada.
Solomon says Trudeau needs to figure out how to create unity given all the different regional issues.
Tonight’s lecture will be followed by a panel discussion with MUN’s Dr. Amanda Bittner and political commentator, Tim Powers.
