The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is urging the public to report any information they can about dangerous driving activities—such as street racing, as incidents increase during the summer months.
Earlier this week the RNC busted two drivers for street racing on Topsail Road. In that case, one of the vehicles was clocked at 127 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
Constable James Cadigan says such behavior tends to increase as the weather gets nicer.
When making a report to police, Cadigan says it is important to give as much detail as possible because even if the activity seems like it has moved on, “it’s not stopping where you saw it.
