Yet another tent encampment is beginning to take hold in the west of downtown St. John’s.
Some people have established living quarters in a gullied, grassy area south of the old Grace Hospital, a site which is largely out of public view.
The first two large tent cities—across from Confederation Building and outside Colonial Building—no longer exist but Gregory McCain, who’s camping near the Grace, says there are several other mini sites in metro.
Jim Dinn, Leader of the NDP, says he knew that there would be a repeat of the situations which popped up over the last nine months or so.
He says it’s almost impossible to finD housing for people because there just isn’t enough of it.
