The sound of music is filling the capital city this week with hundreds of vocalists from around the world coming together for HarbourVOICES!
The six day festival got underway over the weekend, with lots more on the agenda over the next few days.
Over 40 groups are in town for the global chorus event, including the Phoenix Chamber Choir from Vancouver.
Director Nicole Andrews, who is originally from St. John’s, says she’s thrilled to be apart of such a diverse celebration of music.
Andrews says she was a part of Festival 500 many years ago and people still talk about it to this day. She says HarbourVOICES! has the same sort of impact, but people need to experience it to truly appreciate it.
