An RNC officer is recovering from minor injuries after being assaulted by a man who was picked up by police on numerous charges.
Things began unfolding over the supperhour when officers responded to reports of a robbery at a business on Kenmount Road.
The suspect had fled the scene, but was identified by officers after a brief investigation.
The 32-year-old wasn’t willing to head to the lockup quietly as he assaulted a police officer in the process.
He’s been charged with robbery and assaulting a police officer. Police also believe he is responsible for a number of crimes in the metro region and faces additional charges:
– Possession of property obtained by crime and breach of a release order on March 5, 2024.
– Breaking and entering into a residence on June 17, 2024.
– Theft from a business on July 4, 2024.
– Possession of a credit card obtained by crime on July 4, 2024.
