A driver’s failure to obey a stop sign in Bay Roberts has lead to drug charges for their passenger in the vehicle.
Just after midnight on Thursday the RCMP saw a vehicle that had failed to stop and tried to pull the driver over.
They did not immediately do so and instead pulled into a driveway.
A passenger in that vehicle, a 27-year-old Bay Roberts man, was arrested.
The RCMP say cocaine and 130 capsules of various prescription medications were seized.
The accused was released to appear in court at a later date on charges of drug possession.
