The by-election has yet to be called, but the PC Party has opened nominations for the district of Waterford Valley.
At least one person—Kevin Guest—has already announced his intention to run for the PC nomination in the district.
Nominations close at noon on Thursday.
The seat was vacated by the recent retirement of long-time MHA and cabinet minister Tom Osborne.
St. John’s city councillor Jamie Korab has announced his intention to seek the Liberal nod in the district.
