There have been no drastic changes in the wildfire situation in Labrador West, but the blaze remains very active.
In an update provided this afternoon, Premier Andrew Furey says a dumping of rain yesterday gave crews a bit of a reprieve.
He says there may be some growth today as temperatures hover in the low-twenties.
While it is warm, the premier says it is nowhere near as hot and humid as it was, meaning they can continue with suppression efforts.
Furey says officials have also been working with IOC to identify areas where those crews could also provide assistance.
He says flyovers have been conducted to identify potential areas for fire breaks with plans expected to be put in place shortly.
