The Commissioner of the Inquiry Respecting the Treatment, Experiences and Outcomes of Innu in the Child Protection System has resigned.

The Commission asks that the public respect the privacy of Judge James Igloliorte at this time.

The work of the Commission, which has been ongoing for about two years, will fall under the guidance of Commissioners Anastasia Qupee and Dr. Mike Devine. That includes the six investigations that the Commission has ordered.

They say the resignation of Igloliorte will have no impact on inquiry evidence, however there may be some adjustments to the schedule.
