A woman is facing a raft of charges after allegedly hitting a person with a truck, and spraying them and another person with bear spray in Happy Valley-Goose Bay early Saturday Morning.
RCMP were called to Grenfell Street just before 4 a.m.
They say two people were walking down the road when one was intentionally hit by a truck, and both were sprayed with bear spray.
The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Olivia Dyson, left the scene, leaving one of the victims in the road with serious injuries.
Both were taken to hospital, and one was further transported to the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s.
Dyson was later arrested without incident.
She appeared in court today to answer to a list of charges including aggravated assault, three counts of assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, two counts of administering a noxious substance, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failing to comply with a court-ordered condition.
