The City of Corner Brook has a new day-to-day boss. Darren Charters is the new city manager effective this month.
Charters is a professional engineer with a degree from the University of New Brunswick. Originally from Fredericton, Charters has 25 years of experience in the municipal sector, beginning with his tenure with the New Brunswick capital. He has been a departmental manager with the west coast city for the past seven years.
It has been a challenging number of months for Corner Brook City Hall since the unexpected passing of the previous city manager, Rodney Cumby.
Mayor Jim Parsons says he is grateful for the support and dedication of their city team to continue the mission to make Corner Brook the best it can be for the residents.
The City of Corner Brook is pleased to announce the appointment of Darren Charters as its new City Manager, effective July 2024.
