The City of St. John’s is answering the call of nature and installing additional bathroom facilities downtown at the Pedestrian Mall.

Two portable accessible toilets and a handwashing station will be available during the operational hours of the mall—12 p.m. to 10 p.m.—and will be located on the corner of Harbour Drive and Ayres Cove.

The toilets will remain in place until the closure of the outdoor shopping zone on Labour Day Monday.

The city assures that the toilets will be regularly maintained, and they ask the public to cooperate in keeping them clean.

The trial project will be evaluated during the winter.
