A woman who got into a spat with the cabbie over her fare is spending some time in the lockup.
She and the driver began arguing in the east end of St. John’s around lunchtime yesterday. RNC officers where then approached by staff from a nearby business who told them that the woman in question had just stolen merchandise from them, then decided that that was not enough so she yanked the fire alarm.
The 34-year-old has been charged with theft under $5,000, mischief, breach of release orders and breach of probation.
