Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is literally rubbing shoulders with the thousands of people attending the 206th running of the Royal St. John’s Regatta today.
Trudeau last attended the historic event in 2019.
The PM was also scheduled to serve as an honourary starter for the Confederation 75 Commercial Senior Women’s race at 2 p.m. but he was delayed arriving at Quidi Vidi Lake.
Premier Andrew Furey was also expected pondside this afternoon, along with other politicians and notables.
