Organizers of the Churchill Park Music Festival are once again warning ticket-buyers to be careful who they buy from.
Two weekends of world-class concerts kick off tonight in the centre-city park with headliners Nickelback, followed by Pitbull tomorrow night and Shania Twain next weekend.

But the lure of those big acts also attracts the scammers, and there are lots of them out there.
Festival organizers say people should be very careful about buying re-sale tickets for the sold-out shows.

They note, for example, that the festival is not offering resale tickets on Facebook. They say the safest way to buy those tickets is through Showpass verified resale or a Showpass transfer from someone you trust.
They also advise not sending money to people you don’t know, with a reminder that the festival is not responsible for the purchase of fake tickets from scammers, or the money lost to them.
