A professor at Memorial University has been named one of Canada’s top 25 immigrants.
Dr. Sevtap Savas, a cancer scientist and advocate originally from Turkey has been working at MUN’s St. John’s Campus for several years.
She is being recognized for her contributions since immigrating to Canada.
Dr. Savas is the only recipient representing Newfoundland and Labrador.
