Fire early Sunday morning has resulted in an early end to the season for a popular restaurant in the metro region.
Chafe’s Landing in Petty Harbour says it is with a heavy heart that they close up, but the fire caused significant damage to the building.
There were no injuries, and the Chafe family credits the St. John’s Regional Fire Department for what it calls heroic efforts in controlling the fire.
Chafe’s Landing is a “must do” for many in the summer, but the family says this is not goodbye. The owners are committed to rebuilding and returning stronger than ever.
