A young woman has been charged with impaired driving following a hit and run involving another vehicle in Corner Brook late Tuesday night.
Police say they got the report around 11 p.m., and that the driver responsible might be under the influence of alcohol or marijuana or both.
RNC say a witness was able to describe the vehicle, the licence plate number, and which way the car went, allowing police to quickly find it and its driver.
The 21-year-old female faces charges of impaired driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
She’s also accused of having open liquor and cannabis at the ready in her vehicle.
The woman had her licence suspended and vehicle seized.
She was released to appear in court at a later date.
