The Single Parents Association is grateful for the outpouring of support received through their annual Block the Bus campaign in association with the VOCM Cares Foundation.

People dropped off cash and donations, helping to fill a Metrobus parked at the Village Shopping Centre with needed school supplies for people struggling to meet the need as the school year approaches.

Executive Director of the Single Parent Association, Jennifer Tarrant says she’s amazed by the public response to their campaign.

“I’m grateful for all the private and corporate sponsors and really surprised (by) the amount of cash donations, cheque donations, and the amount of school supplies we have received.”

Donations will continue to be accepted at the Village Shopping Centre and at SPANL until Monday.
