The federal and provincial governments are pumping more than half a million dollars in joint funding into efforts to improve a 120-kilometre stretch of the T’Railway Park from Port aux Basques to Corner Brook.
The funding will be used by the Newfoundland T’Railway Council and Tourism Southwest Inc. to make improvements to the trail, including new ditches and culverts to help mitigate against extreme weather-related damage.
The funding will also be used for new signs, and widening of the trail.
