Parks Canada is issuing a reminder to visitors and guests about littering at National Historic sites, calling it an “eyesore” and “no fun for anyone.
Not only that, but litter also poses a threat to wildlife and nature.
Parks Canada posted the reminder to Facebook after staff had to clean up a significant amount of confetti following a recent celebration at Signal Hill.
Authorities say while they love that people have a special connection to Signal Hill, using confetti and balloons outdoors can be harmful to the environment.
