The Feildians captured the very first NL Cup soccer tournament on the weekend.
The Feildians defeated 1949FC by a score of 5-2 at King George V pitch on Sunday.
The NL Cup is a single-elimination tournament styled after the FA Cup in the UK. It allows teams from different divisions to play against each other with out having to commit to a league for a full season.
The Feildians’ Matt Davis was named Man of the Match for this championship game performance, while Emmanuel Dolo of 1949FC won the golden boot award for most goals scored during the tournament. He was also named the Tournament MVP.
