The RCMP in Newfoundland and Labrador is under new leadership.
Assistant Commissioner Patrick Cahill has been named the new Commanding Officer for the province.
Cahill brings over 32 years of experience to the role, most recently serving as criminal operations officer for RCMP in Newfoundland and Labrador.
He emphasized his “deep connection” with the province, having been born and raised in St. John’s, adding he’s committed to working with all communities and partners to “ensure safety and security for all.”
Cahill succeeds former assistant commissioner Jennifer Ebert, who has assumed a new role at RCMP headquarters in Ottawa.
