Kippens native Katarina Roxon will swim for a medal in the 100-metre breaststroke at the Paralympic Games in Paris today.
Roxon finished third in her first heat this morning, advancing to the final which is scheduled for about 3:50 p.m. Newfoundland time.
The 31-year-old is the first woman to compete in the sport at five Paralympic games.
She won gold in the 100-metre breaststroke when the games were held in Brazil eight years ago.
