A Labrador woman has been charged with attempted murder following a hit and run in Happy Valley-Goose Bay almost two months ago.
It happened in the early-morning hours of Friday, July 20, on Grenfell Street.
RCMP say a man and woman were attacked with bear spray, after which the man was also struck by a vehicle.
Police say the driver, 24-year-old Olivia Dyson, sped away from the scene before police arrived, leaving the man in the road with serious injuries.
The investigation led to the attempted murder charge being laid against Dyson on Wednesday.
She’s also facing charges of aggravated assault, three counts of assault with a weapon, dangerous driving causing bodily harm, two counts of administering a noxious thing, namely bear spray, mischief and failing to follow court orders.
She’s due back in provincial court on Sept. 26th.
