The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says road rage incidents are often made up of various ticketable offences that can be reported to police.
A 22-year-old man was recently charged following an incident in July where he is accused of firing a gun in the direction of two vehicles.
RNC Constable James Cadigan says that incident goes beyond road rage and is a criminal offence.
However, he says there are other offences that people can be watching for when reporting such incidents to police.
Cadigan says that could be speeding, use of a handheld device, and driving without due care and attention.
