The College of the North Atlantic’s newest facility will help “feed the beast” that is the film and TV industry, according to the campus manager.
On Friday, the Paul L. Pope Centre for TV and Film had its official opening, where tributes were paid to its namesake, and the college showed off its new space where students can learn and practice their craft.
Ray Fennelly explains that the facility will help produce the talent needed for the local industry.
He said they have to feed the need for film and TV crews, which he says is a “desperate need.”
Student Avalon James says the facility is “amazing.”
She says the school has paved the way for many people to be in the industry by giving them resources and connections to do so. James said it is “taming the beast a little bit of joining the film industry.”
