Costco is recalling another type of yogurt the company sells in Canada.
The retailer says Kirkland Signature Probiotic Yogurt, purchased from Sept. 3-19, may contain a type of yeast that could make those with a compromised immune system sick.
Officials say the food-safety risk is low, since the yeast is not known to grow while refrigerated.
The yogurt can be identified as having best-before dates of Oct. 18, Oct. 20 and Oct. 22.
It’s the second time this month that yogurt from Costco has been recalled. Two weeks ago, Kirkland Greek yogurt with a best-before date of Aug. 10 was recalled due to mould issues.
The CFIA, or Canadian Food Inspection Agency, says the latest recall involves yogurt sold in NL, as well as Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec and Saskatchewan.
The product can be returned to Costco for a full refund.
