A veteran collection of performers are coming together to form a Newfoundland ‘supergroup’ of sorts.

The Rowdymen is made up of singer George Masswohl, guitarist Gerry Finn of Killer Dwarfs fame, and drummer Greg Hawco.

The band is dedicated to what it calls the preservation and propagation of the province’s music.

They’re taking their show on the road for a tour of Arts and Culture Centres from October 30 to November 5.

Masswohl jokes that it’s a “big undertaking” for them all.

“We’re not teenagers either, you know. We’re men of a certain age, but this music really energizes us.”
