Placentia RCMP are investigating the circumstances surrounding an incident that resulted in the death of a 61-year-old man in Dunville last Friday afternoon.
A moped and backhoe collided at the intersection of the Main Road and Greenhouse Road in Dunville around 3:00 p.m.
The driver of the moped was taken to hospital in Placentia with injuries, and died a few hours later.
The backhoe operator was not injured.
