A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an armed robbery earlier this week in Grand Fall-Windsor.
Police were called after a man armed with a knife entered Pondview Variety in the town around 9:30 Tuesday morning.
The suspect, who police say was identified as Dean Langdon, left the store with a quantity of cash, lottery tickets and other items.
Langdon had been wanted for failing to appear in court on break and enter charges.
Police were able to track Langdon to a nearby home and, after a brief negotiation, he surrendered.
RCMP say some of the stolen property was recovered, along with a knife.
Langdon is facing charges of armed robbery, possession of a concealed weapon, possession of stolen property, and failing to comply with a court release.
He also has a number of other matters before the courts, including firearms charges, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, wearing a disguise with intent to commit a criminal offence, break and enter and multiple counts of failing to comply with release orders.
Langdon remains in custody pending his next court appearance on Nov. 13.
