The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Association is pleased with additional funding for policing in the province. That includes the creation of a new RNC/RCMP task force and the addition of more police officers province-wide.

RNCA President Mike Summers says they’ve been working with RNC management and government officials to increase the number officers in the police service.

He says the additional positions will help to alleviate the increasing workload.
