The Town of Paradise is hopeful that a necessary part to repair their lift station will arrive tomorrow.
The town declared a state of emergency last week in order to secure additional resources to fix Lift Station 10, which moves wastewater from several residential and commercial areas.
Mayor Dan Bobbett says an external pump needed to support the lift station is not available in this province, and expects it to arrive tomorrow.
Once the pump is put in place, crews will continue to make repairs, but the state of emergency will be lifted.
Until that time, the town continues to ask residents in the affected areas to conserve water.
Mayor Bobbett asks that residents reduce the amount of water going down the drain as much as possible by limiting use of things like dishwashers.
A replacement lift station is projected to be up and running in the winter.
