The federal government is contributing just over $19-million to help the province host the 2025 Canada Summer Games.
The announcement was made this morning at the MUN Field House in St. John’s.
Just over $17-million is being provided to assist with operational and capital costs, including the introduction of lacrosse to the Canada Games.
ACOA is also providing nearly $1.3 million to help with the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as the marketing and promotion costs.
