Hospitality NL is celebrating two additional European destinations to WestJet’s seasonal direct routes from St. John’s across the Atlantic.

The airline already offers direct seasonal access to Gatwick London from St. John’s and yesterday announced that it is adding Paris, France and Dublin, Ireland, to its direct offerings from the capital city.

Chair of Hospitality NL Deborah Bourden calls the news like Christmas, your anniversary and birthday all rolled into one.

She was pleasantly surprised by the announcement.

“We knew an announcement was coming, we thought maybe it’s an expansion of just a London route, which we would have been really happy for,” says Bourden, but hearing that they’re bringing back the Dublin route and adding a Paris route, “it was a very, very good day for tourism in Newfoundland and Labrador.”
