Stephenville has survived another round of heavy rain with minimal damage.
The town is no stranger to major flooding. About 100 homes were lost in 2005 when Blanche Brook became a raging torrent.
Stephenville Mayor, Tom Rose says that Blanche Brook is always a flood concern but the rain caught them off-guard yesterday.
He estimates that they received 75 millimeters of rain in three or four hours and the water rose much faster than expected.
Rose says the damage was limited to debris on roadways and that nobody was hurt.
He says that damage to buildings is one thing, however his main concerns are injuries and loss of life.
