A driver’s failure to scrape the fresh blanket of snow off their windows was enough to set off a red flag for metro police last night.

Officers were hit with the smell of alcohol when they hauled the vehicle over on Topsail Road just before midnight.

The 27-year-old man failed the breathalyzer and was handed a week’s suspension from driving. His vehicle was also impounded.
