Today is Cyber Monday, billed as the busiest online shopping day of the year – and the RNC is offering some tips for those ordering gifts online to prevent the Grinch from stealing Christmas.

The Constabulary says ‘porch pirates’ can be deterred in a number of ways including having deliveries sent to a workplace or friend’s home where someone is available to receive the delivery.

The RNC is also suggesting that people schedule their deliveries, request a signature on delivery or install security cameras.

Those waiting on deliveries can also consider text or email notifications, package hold options and getting to know your neighbours to have them keep an eye out.
