The privacy commissioner’s office has recommended that NL Hydro release a commissioned report into employee compensation, as requested, in its entirety.
The office was contacted after NL Hydro withheld the entire report from the complainant, who felt the request was reasonable and should be public knowledge.
NL Hydro argued that the report should be withheld under ATIPP legislation, notably sections related to disclosure harmful to financial or economic interests and disclosure harmful to labour relations interests.
The privacy commissioner’s office disagreed and recommended that NL Hydro release the report in full within 10 business days.
