A 55-year-old man is dead, as the result of a two-vehicle collision on the Trans Canada near Jeffrey’s yesterday.
RCMP were called around 6:45 yesterday morning after a pickup that was westbound on the Trans-Canada, collided with an SUV that was turning onto the highway from the road leading into Jeffrey’s.
The driver of the SUV, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.
The two people in the pickup were taken to hospital in Stephenville for treatment and released.
